I’ve always been a big fan of Mugison and I was very disappointed when he canceled his gig a few months ago in London. But when I was standing around at Midem a few weeks ago waiting for my next meeting I thought I heard a song that sounded familiar; turns out he was playing a few song at the Icelandic Stand just a few steps away.

Anyway he’s got a new album called ‘Mugiboogie’ (which you can order here). Well it’s not actually quite new but it hasn’t been released outside of Iceland so it’s going to be new for most of us. Beautiful video too:

I watched this documentary called ‘Good Copy Bad Copy’ the other day which is dealing with copyright and it’s effect on culture. Not only an interesting topic but they made a nice movie out of it. It’s only consisting of interviews and the makers were talking to people with very different opinions on how copyright should be used; from the chairman of the IFPI John Kennedy to the guy behind Girl Talk Greg Gillis.
