I’m not sure if The Economist asked Joi the questions about privacy in reaction to the current Facebook criticism but I very much agree with him when he says that you should “own the conversation around yourself”. Interesting interview:

Even though the attendance was down at Midem, I (and most people I talked to) had an enjoyable time and it was certainly worthwhile making the trip this year. Everyone I wanted to meet was there and there was an interesting vibe in the air: everyone wants to get on with their business and make it through 2009. It looks like a tricky one.

I went to the BBC the other day for a quick radio interview: Rory Cellan-Jones asked Matt Mason and myself a few very broad questions about digital music and it’s effect on music owners. The odd thing was that I didn’t actually meet the two in person but we were all in three different studios (Matt was even in New York). Nevertheless I enjoyed it, you can listen to it here:
